Head Bay Road closed

 Village of Tahsis crews have set up barricades to close the HBFSR at our end.  Mainroad has contacted contractors in Campbell River to assemble at dawn and start the hazard assessments and clearing working east to west. MoTI says Highway 28 to remain closed until at least noon Nov 20^th. Checkpoints are in place at Gold River and the brake check at the top of General Hill on the Campbell River side.

 

Emergency services have been notified and BC Hydro crews will be accessing the area tonight to perform an assessment
