Join our day trip to a small Vancouver Island community that is a perfect example for a successful running food security system. Let's listen, watch and learn from the best :)
Our tour will take you to food security projects in Tahsis, BC – a remote community on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Come learn what amazing things this village (pop. ~300) has managed to accomplish in improving their food security! Tour will include stops at the community garden, the school kitchen, and “The Local”, a self-serve market.

Time:
Meet at the Greenways office in Campbell River (1195-C Fir St) to carpool at 8:30am, arrive in Tahsis at 11:30am. Leave Tahsis at 3pm and return to Campbell River at 6pm.
