Tahsis is a remote village on the west coast of Vancouver Island. With only 400 residents, we don't have many of the conveniences of larger towns but we do have community spirit and lots to do in our spectacularly wild and beautiful environment.

DESCRIPTION
The Village of Tahsis Landfill will be open from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on June 10, 12, and 13 in addition to its regular hours.

- Please observe all bridge weight restriction
- Please observe all Landfill rules
Road work
Dust Control – Head Bay Road, Gold River
Drivers can expect a slow-moving vehicle applying dust control product on Head Bay Road in Gold River. Please allow the machine space to work.

No nurse weekend
The Tahsis Health centre will have no nurse from Thursday, June 5 at noon until Monday, June 9 at 9:00.
For medical assistance during time of closure, call 911.
For medical questions call 811.
Clerical staff will be onsite Thursday afternoon and Friday morning for medication pick-up.

DESCRIPTION
Please be advised of Road Construction Activities taking place between 43km and 44km on the Head Bay FSR between Gold River and Tahsis. Works will be taking place from June 9-30, 2025. There will be a bypass in place for traffic to safely pass, there will still be occasional delays of up to 1 hour. Please share with your contacts that may be affected by these activities.
ACTIONS TO TAKE
- Please follow all traffic signs and laws.
- Slow down in the affected area and take extra precautions.
- Plan for up to 1 hour delays
- Follow the direction of the local authorities.
- Do not call 911 for information or updates.
