Community Garden sign up this Sunday
This Sunday, March 26 from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Senior Centre, Tahsis Community Garden Society is having a sign up day. It’s well worth joining.
For $20 you get a 4x8 foot bed. For $10 you get a tabletop smaller bed. There are also beds available in the greenhouse for starting seedlings or for growing delicate plants. If money is a problem, there is some support available. That’s your only expense except for seeds which you can find in abundance at the Tahsis Building Supply.
You’ll get a gardening spot with good sun, good source of water and a high fence to keep the deer away. You’ll work with a group of talented gardeners who can help you solve problems. In this time of high grocery prices, you’ll grow your own food. All in all, it’s just a beautiful place to hang out.

Announcement from Enid
Hello I would like to announce that we have been successful in finding a new manager for the position that I currently hold. Gaylene Jacobson will be starting her new role as Manager of West Coast Clayquot and Mount Waddington on April 24th 2023. She and I will be working together until September 29, 2023. At that time I will be taking a vacation and then I plan to return as a ½ time NP based in Gold River.
I know for many this will be a huge change. I have been in this roll for a very long time and for many have been the only manager you have known working in the communities serve. I trust that you will provide Gaylene with the same support you have always shown me. It is something I have always treasured and I am sure she will to. We will be doing visits to all of the units in the coming months and I look forward to seeing you all.

Dog groomer coming to Tahsis
Jasmine is coming to Tahsis on March 29-30 to do dog grooming. Please call her to make your appointment She is staying at Betty’s home. Will do your puppies or dogs at her home.

Tree removal affecting traffic
Western Forest Products and contractors are doing danger tree removal work on Tahsis road from Tahsis to Gold River starting tomorrow (March 6) morning, Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm daily. It will be single lane alternating traffic with a possible wait. Emergency vehicles will be able to get through the work sites.

Update on the tax Clinic.
Due to the senior centre being closed for the near future we will not be holding the tax clinics at the centre. If you are interested in having your taxes done now please call and we can arrange a time and a place. We're not sure how long the work will take in the school to put us back in the centre so for now please call to make an appointment to have your taxes done.
