Project Squash: Well that was fun. Big shout out to Cheryl Odonnellwho started about 65 winter squash seedlings: acorn, butternut, spaghetti, Japanese, and pumpkin. Thanks Mr. Mayor for adding variety to the collection - we found a good home for the zucchini. It took a little more than 2 hours, AND we got to see a really wonderful garden (or two). Finally, thanks Mother Nature who made sure everything was well watered in.
Ten people volunteered lawn space for squash. When harvested, the squash will be given to the community cupboard food bank and to the yard owners
