Pysanky Egg Dyeing with Pat O'Connell

Thank you to the Tahsis Literacy Society, and to Instructor Pat O'Connell for once again organizing the Pysanky class this year!  Kids and adults met in the science lab of CMESS this week to learn and practice the art of dyeing eggs in the Ukrainian Pysanky style, using wax and kistkas.

Everyone had a wonderful time and we appreciate the opportunity to have a chance to experience this unique art technique.  Pat had some great assistants, who had participated in her workshop in the past, and year by year the eggs look better and better!  But even the first timers this year had gorgeous eggs at the end.  Thanks for the photos, Dave Wills and Pat O'Connell!
