Canning Workshop

Thank you to Aubrey and Janet for hosting the pressure canning workshop at CMESS yesterday.  With salmon donated by Wade, and soup from Janet and the Farm to School Program, we learned a lot about pressure canning!  Janet took the mystery out of it, and we are all somewhat less nervous about the hissing, rattling process, which turns out to be pretty easy.

It was great to spend time with some newcomers to Tahsis and to show off our lovely kitchen.
