The slide show of photographs of the beautiful remote areas were breathtaking, and the information was fascinating! Thanks to the Tahsis Literacy Society for sponsoring this cultural event, and thank you to CMESS and the Tahsis Senior's Society for hosting the great meal and the dessert and coffee during the reading.
Thank you also to the Twang Gang, who serenaded the crowd with 2 appropriate songs, "Thank God we're Surrounded by Water" and "I Want to Marry a Lighthouse Keeper". What a welcome!

I just now came across Karli's blog! The reading event in Tahsis was truly one of the most genuinely warm welcomes I have ever enjoyed while touring with a new book. From Fern's lovely B&B to the delicious community potluck, the serenade by the fabulous Twang Gang and the lively Q&A session after my talk and slide show, to Elsie urging people to "buy these books!" (and you did! bless you all!)and the kind guidance of Louise Guilbert of the Tahsis Literacy Society before and after the event, all of it, all of you, were just wonderful. This kind of response is what Canadian writers like myself will remember forever, and with a big smile of gratitude beaming up the coast and down the Tahsis inlet to your warm-hearted village! Thank you/merci beaucoup!
