Senior Centre general meeting

Message from Ruth R., President of seniors society -

There will be a general meeting for the Tahsis Seniors Society next Sunday, March 6 at 1 PM.
We have a number of things to discuss and vote on and hope you can all come out to support the senior centre as Covid rules and regulations begin to relax somewhat and we can go back to some kind of normalcy.
A couple of issues that we will discuss are:
Splitting the role of secretary treasurer into two positions and finding a new treasurer for the society.
Setting up some committees or groups that would like to try some new things for the seniors.
Going back to potlucks hopefully, maybe not this month but hopefully April.
So please join us and see if we can do some fun things for a change.
If anyone has any items they would like to bring up for discussion please send them to me so we can add them to the agenda.

Are you interested in being an Emergency Communication Team Public Safety Lifeline Volunteer? Then join us for a virtual information session on March 1 or March 3. There are currently no ECT volunteers in Tahsis as part of our regional program.
ECT volunteers serve as “Plan B” when primary communication systems are disrupted or destroyed. This group is composed of certified Amateur Radio Operators (and those willing to obtain their certification) who volunteer their time and expertise. The SRD provides most of the equipment required to operate this service through a library of equipment that members can sign out to develop their skillset.
