Canada Day Parade

Since the regular hot dogs and cake party was out of the question because of COVID 19, Tahsis had a Canada Day parade instead. CHEK news did a story about it. https://cheknews.ca/tahsis-canada-day-parade-2020-679515/

We started down by Sally's Grill.

Lead by the fire department, we headed down South Maquinna.

We went up and down Cardiac Climb, through the trailer park

around the valley and ended at the rec centre.

People came out to the sidewalk and cheered us on. The nice thing about a small town is you can call hello to nearly everyone by name.

There were lots of cars this year.

Micah's family won first with their Canada flag wagon.

Roth's 50th anniversary of Tahsis cake took second place.

Third place went to the Junior Rangers who had a multi-platform entry.

Also rans included:
Olsons' COVIDmobile with guest Sarah A.

Lynda L. Note: She was also wearing her red and white garden gloves.

Sarah F. Yes, Tony is wearing a wool sweater because it's the only red shirt he has.

And Ellises' new black NPT.

All in all, a good day. Thanks to Martin and Lauren for their photos.
