More acceptable recycling
There is a new bin in the recycling shed that accepts "Other Flexible Plastic Packaging". This covers a lot of ground. An illustrated list can be found at: https://recyclebc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Material-List_Other-Flexible-Plastic-Packaging.pdf
It includes things like: Other Flexible Plastic Packaging are types of film and flexible plastics that often include multiple layers of different types of plastic, making it more difficult to recycle. Examples of Other Flexible Plastic Packaging include: stand-up and zipper lock pouches, like pouches for granola, frozen berries, etc.; crinkly wrappers and bags, like coffee bags, or chip bags; flexible packaging with plastic seal, like packaging for fresh pasta or pre-packaged deli meats; non-food protective wrap like bubble wrap or plastic envelopes; and net bags for onions, avocados, lemons, etc.

Culture Days in Tahsis
Thanks to the support of Tahsis Literacy Society and the village of Tahsis, Culture Days events will happen in Tahsis. Culture Days is a national program in its tenth year. The purpose is to give people a free opportunity to participate in activities involving arts and culture. All events will happen on Sunday, September 29 at the rec centre gym. Hoping for a big crowd. Ubedam's new home
Through the hard work of Terry F., Paul DM, Catherine G.,Jim G., Debra C., Stephanie O., Sean, Shannon F., Granger F., Seth E., Jordan E., Domanic B., and Izaak all Ubedam's equipment and supplies have been moved from various stops around the village to the top floor of Tahsis Supermarket. What a job with few snags but it is done. Ready for theatre this fall.
