Tahsis is a remote village on the west coast of Vancouver Island. With only 400 residents, we don't have many of the conveniences of larger towns but we do have community spirit and lots to do in our spectacularly wild and beautiful environment.

Tahsis Quilt Show
The thought of a Quilt Show has been brought up. The idea being there are quite a few in Tahsis who have made a quilt or have been given one and it would be wonderful to see some of these creations.
The hard part if finding a starting point. The Quilt Show would have to be a group effort. We would love to hear your ideas and by answering the following key questions it will help determine if this venture would be possible.
We have left indicating your name optional as many feel more comfortable giving ideas anonymously. You can drop your survey off to Debra Conibear at Spar Tree Gift Shop or email your answers to quiltgal123@hotmail.com.
1. Would you be able to commit time to help? Yes___ No___
2. Where in Tahsis do you think the best location/venue would be?
____________________________________________________
3. When should it be held? _________________________________________
4. How many quilts would you like to display? __________________________
5. Your ideas or comments: _________________________________________________________________________________
If you would like to take part in the Quilt Show there will be a "Coffee Meeting" at Sally's Grill on Thursday, April 5th at 1:30. We will review all ideas and proceed on to discuss organizational details. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to be part of it then please leave us your name and phone or email and we will contact you.
Thanking you in advance for your support.

Anyone have a critter cam?
Rita sent me this message.
Hello Stephanie,
Hello Stephanie,
My neighbour Debbie Mantyka has discovered a huge hole in the dirt at the side of her house and suspects an animal of some kind has dug the hole and taken up residence inside. Debbie contacted the provincial Conservation Officer this morning and he suggested a critter cam may be set up in order to see exactly what animal is living there.
She also went down to the Village and spoke with Mark but to no avail.
So, with several options covered I suggested perhaps we contact you and through the Tahsis Living blog you please get a message out asking if anyone in the Village has a critter cam that they don’t mind lending. Once it is known what animal is residing beneath the house then the Conservation Officer may be contacted again.
Debbie’s email address is: debbiemantyka@gmail.com
With thanks for your help.
