Tahsis is a remote village on the west coast of Vancouver Island. With only 400 residents, we don't have many of the conveniences of larger towns but we do have community spirit and lots to do in our spectacularly wild and beautiful environment.

Seniors BBQ for CMESS
Thanks to Janet K. and the other seniors who served a delicious BBQ lunch today for the staff and students. Everything was very tasty, including the homemade crumbles for dessert. Thanks to Frank, his visiting family and Gareth for manning the grill. After having cheeseburgers, hotdogs, green salad, potato salad, punch, iced tea, fruit crumble, strawberry squares and cookies, the kids were all energized to do lots of fun activities, including a water balloon fight at CMESS Fun Day.

Great First Day at Tahsis Artisans' Coop
71 Visitors came to the shop to browse our new inventory! There is something for everyone, with many new items to see. Congratulations to the lucky shoppers who won door prizes!
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that our favourite shopper of the day was little Cole who loved the little crocheted cave man that Janet made, and just beamed whenever he caught a glimpse of his new toy.
It was great to see all our visitors who came to Tahsis aboard the
Uchuck III, and enjoyed the hospitality of Westview Marina. Rock the
Dock was excellent with steak dinner and good music by Luke Blu
Guthrie.
